Dr. Paul O'Shea is one of Australia's leaders in consumer law, particularly consumer credit  law. He has taught consumer and commercial law at universities in Australia and throughout Asia and has published extensively in this field. His research has been cited in superior court decisions and by the Australian Commonwealth Treasury in support of legislation regulating consumer credit.

Dr. O'Shea has represented clients in all Australian courts and tribunals and in other dealings with ASIC, APRA, Austrac, AMSA, MSQ, and other state and federal government authorities. He has been approved as an External Compliance Reviewer of Australian Credit Licensees by ASIC and appointed as a “Friend of the Court” by the Federal Court of Australia.
